Outcomes of the Tenth Annual All-Russian Open Conference “Actual Problems in Remote Sensing of the Earth from Space”. / November 27, 2012 /

The 10th Annual All-Russian Open Conference on Actual Problems in Remote Sensing of the Earth from Space (principal physics, methods and technologies for monitoring of the environment, and natural and man-made objects) was held on November 12 – 16 2012. The promoters of the event are the Russian Academy of Sciences, RAS’s Space Council, ROSCOSMOS, and ROSHYDROMET. The conference was sponsored by the Space Research Institute of the RAS.

The NTs OMZ’s specialists took an active part in the Conference workshops and presented the following papers:

Following the tradition established last years, on 16 November at NTs OMZ the out plenary session of the Conference devoted to the issues concerning the Russian satellite observation system state-of-the art and prospects of development took place. The session was attended by more than 120 specialists from 30 main research organizations of Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, 16 papers and 15 posters were presented. The technical characteristics and data processing techniques of operative and future spacecraft (ZOND-PP, CANOPUS-V, BKA, RESURS-P), and the technologies for work with the satellite data acquired were considered. Particular emphasis was placed on the features of hyperspectral imaging, and standard and value-added processing techniques of this kind of data.
