First ERS information from "Meteor-M" № 1.. / October 1, 2009 /

NTs OMZ has received the first data from Earth remote sensing satellite «Meteor-M» № 1

The session began at 10:08 Moscow time. Admission is carried out on the antenna complex PC-7. Photos are taken by two cameras in the mode of NP-K12 with a resolution of 50 meters.

Reception was a success. Onboard equipment "Meteor-M» № 1 operates normally.

New Hydro-meteorological spacecraft, wich was launched into space at Sept. 17, 2009 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome by launch vehicle «Soyuz-2.1b», makes it possible to determine more qualitatively weather, natural disasters, to study the state of the atmosphere, land surface and marine waters, and to monitor technological accidents to determine their scope and impact.
