The peat fires in Moscow region. / July 26, 2010 /
In continuation of a series of publications on the monitoring of fire-danger situation in the regions of Russia in the summer of 2010, caused by abnormally hot and dry weather, the open section on the peat fires in Moscow region. According to the MOE, for the week from 12 to 18 July in the Moscow region there were 109 fires that in 12,1 times more than the same period last year. One-time survey can cover the territory of the ten regions of Russia (the width of the band location of 900 km with a spatial resolution of 50-100 m).
