In accordance with the information reported MOE, the situation remains extremely critical to the present.

Modern means of remote sensing allow for daily monitoring of the fire-danger conditions throughout Russia, including hard-to-ground and aerial observation areas, and provide timely information to the federal and regional think tanks MOE and Federal Forest Service, local governments, environmentalists.

Information obtained in NTs OMZ equipment KMSS spacecraft Meteor-M »№ 1, is used to control the situation from the first days of detection of fires in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In connection with the local clouds is not able to obtain daily information, but the available materials allow shooting to monitor the direction of smoke plume, to assess the area of burned-out, to predict the development of the situation.
