Filling station site 31 Baikonur began to prepare to work with the cargo ship "Progress M-12M". / August 3, 2011 /

Today, at a gas station site 31 Baikonur calculations FSUE TsENKI — Space Center «South» have begun to prepare equipment and facilities for the upcoming gas station refueling propellant components and compressed gases propulsion cargo transport spacecraft «Progress M-12M.»

The ship is in a vacuum chamber 254 spaceport site, where it ends check for leaks. Upon completion of works in a vacuum chamber, the ship will return to the stand after the final processing operations, checks for leaks and to prepare for refueling, will be delivered on a platform 31 for refueling.

Launch space rocket «Soyuz-U» with the cargo ship «Progress M-12M» is scheduled for August 24. Cargo ship should be delivered to the international space station, more than 2.5 tons of payload: the components of fuel to maintain orbit stations, scientific equipment, food, water and air for astronauts expendable equipment.
