Baikonur started preparing "GLONASS". / September 21, 2011 /

Today in the finishing chamber assembly and test facility area 92A-50, work began with the spacecraft (SC) «Glonass-M», delivered yesterday at the launch site.

Specialists of the rocket and space industry are unloaded from the container of the spacecraft and its installation in the stand, as well as preparatory work for testing.

Along with the spacecraft «Glonass-M» on the launch site were taken two blocks of storage xenon included in the propulsion of spacecraft «Glonass». The blocks will be transported to the gas station site 91 for refueling.

To implement a cluster of three spacecraft launch «Glonass», the other two spacecraft will be shipped to Baikonur with an interval of time to ready the spacecraft, taking place in real time directly to the test at the launch site.

Launch space rocket «Proton-M» with the upper stage «Briz-M» and a cluster of three navigation satellites «Glonass-M» is scheduled for November 2011.
