NASA will shoot 3D film about "Hubble's" repair

Repair work will be spent by crew of a shuttle «Atlantis». The shuttle should start into an orbit on May, 11th, 2009. Astronauts specially studied in camera art on the Earth. In total in space two chambers will work. One will be established outside of a cabin of pilots of a shuttle, and the second will be in hands at astronauts.

The total picture will be mounted from video removed in space and the photos made «Hubble». NASA not for the first time co-operates with IMAX Corporation. The first three-dimensional film has been devoted «Hubble’s» conclusion to an orbit.

The telescope «Hubble» has been put into orbit in 1990. It was planned that he will allow to receive pictures of space objects with the permission much more surpassing the permission of terrestrial telescopes. However because of defect of the main mirror the first photos were washed away. In 1993 on «Hubble» the correcting optics which has allowed to return to a telescope the design permission (at the expense of removal of some other devices) has been established.

In total it has been spent three expeditions on telescope service. Start of the fourth was some times transferred. Last shift of date of start of «Atlantisa» has been connected with «Hubble’s» new breakage. The shuttle crew had not time to train the operations necessary for its elimination.
