EchoStar 16 Spacecraft Placed on Target Orbit.. / November 22, 2012 /

According to the insertion into target orbit cyclogram on November 20 at 07:42 Moscow Time the US EchoStar 16 spacecraft was separated from the Briz-M upper stage, placed on the target orbit, and now is under the consumer control.

The spacecraft was launched with the Proton-M rocket with the Briz-M upper-stage rocket (manufacturer is Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center) by starting calculations of the rocket-space industry on November 20 at 22.31.00 Moscow Time from Site 200 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The EchoStar 16 spacecraft is a new direct-broadcast satellite manufactured by the Space Systems/Loral Company (US) to the order of the EchoStar Corp. The spacecraft is positioned in geostationary orbit at 61.5° W longitude.
