Flight testing of the spacecraft, "Electro-L" completed

Upon review of the report and the reports on the technical condition of outer parts of the complex decided to move GGKK «Electro» in trial operation.

The systems on board the spacecraft, «Electro-L» functioning normally. Ground set for receiving, processing and dissemination of information is working with the target information. Manage the device to fully implement the MCC TsNIImash with the center of the test (CPS) NPO. SA Lavochkin.

About «Electro»

Geostationary hydrometeorological space complex «Power» is designed to meet the challenges of operational meteorology, hydrology, agricultural meteorology, climate monitoring and environmental protection.

«Electro-L» should provide multispectral imagery of the Earth’s disk in the visible and infrared bands (resolution 1 km and 4 km respectively). The nominal frequency of shooting — 30 minutes. In the case of monitoring the frequency of natural disasters shooting (on command from the Earth) can be reduced to 10-15 minutes.

In addition, the SC «Electro-L» are assigned the task of obtaining heliogeophysical data relay and exchange of meteorological information, as well as receiving and relaying data from autonomous platforms meteorological buoys and signals alarm system COSPAS-SARSAT.
