Through «Ekspress-Am2» which have failed in the beginning of March, 2009, tens schools have been connected to the Internet in remote points of region. In Krasnoyarsk region without access to the network there were 135 comprehensive schools carrying out ЕГЭ in which has appeared under the threat of failure. Schools in the remote and remote areas receive task UGE through the Internet.

The Minister of Education and Science of Krasnoyarsk region Vyacheslav Bashev has sent the letter to head Rosobrazovanije Nikolay Bulaev in whom has suggested to switch schools to the Internet providers working through «Express-MD1»satellite and «Yamal-200» satellite. However the deputy chief of management of programs in an education sphere and placings of the state order Rosobrazovanije Andrey Remezenko in interview to «Kommersant» has informed that these satellites have not enough capacities and to translate on them schools it will not be possible. As he said, possibility of connection of schools to the Internet through foreign companions is considered. When schools can connect again to the Network, Remezenko has found it difficult to assume, having underlined that the decision of this question depends on Minkomsvjazi.

«Express-АМ2» satellite which operator is FSUE «the Outer-space communication», submitting Minkomsvjazi, has been put into orbit in 2005. The warranty period of work of the satellite should make 12 years. However malfunctions in work of «Ekspress-Am2 have arisen in 2008 when some television channels transmitting through it a signal, have been compelled to pass to other companions.

In the beginning of March, 2009 it became known that on „Ekspress-Am2“ the system of solar batteries has failed. However already on March, 12th the Russian news agencies referring to representatives ФГУП»Outer-space communication"have informed that working capacity of the companion managed to be restored.
