Satellite launch "Glonass-M" moved to the day

Launch navigation satellite «Glonass-M», which was scheduled from the Plesetsk cosmodrome on 25 August, postponed for a day. On it informs RIA Novosti.

According to the Ministry of Defence spokesman Colonel Vitaly Vyatkina, originally uploaded August 25 was preliminary, and August 26 was chosen as a reserve day. Specific reasons for the transfer start colonel did not mention.

Previous satellite launch a series of «Glonass» took place on 26 February 2011. Then start «GLONASS-K» due to a malfunction of the launch vehicle «Soyuz» and due to lack of time to conduct the necessary tests postponed twice. Once launched, the satellite was successfully launched into the target orbit.

In December 2010, three satellites «Glonass-M» fell into the Pacific Ocean. According to the investigation, the cause of the crash was estimated error due to which the upper stage were covered with a half tons of excess fuel.

Because of the loss of satellites were dismissed Deputy President Roscosmos Remishevsky and chief designer for the launch vehicle RSC «Energia» Vyacheslav Filin. Subsequently, the post was made head of the Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov, whose resignation, according to the official version of events because of advanced age, observers were also associated with an unsuccessful launch. In May 2011, on the fact of the loss of satellites has been prosecuted.
