August 3, progress in space flight engineer of the International Space Station cosmonaut Sergei Volkov (Roskosmos) has successfully launched the micro-satellite «Cedar». It is planned that from orbit «Cedar» will automatically send welcome messages 25 to 15 languages​​, photographs of the Earth and telemetry information.

During the exit of astronauts in outer space is one of the two antennas satellite about 7 cm long, was damaged, however, performance of the spacecraft survived, and it was decided to run it.

At the moment, has already taken on 19 signals from orbit, which confirms the proper functioning of all systems of microsatellite «Cedar».
