Images of Twin Powerful Typhoons from Meteor-M No.2. / August 26, 2015 /

The images of twin powerful Goni and Atsani typhoons approaching Japan and Southern Primorsky Territory were taken by the Russian Meteor-M No.2 remote sensing spacecraft.

According to data as at 26 August, the Goni typhoon as approaching the continent has weakened to the deep cyclone level, however today, the weather deterioration, storm wind, and heavy rain are predicted in the Southern Primorsky Territory.

The main purpose of the Meteor-M No.2 mission is to provide qualitative, reliable, and timely hydrometeorological and ocean data. The data from Meteor-M No.2 allows early forecasting of adverse natural events.
