Operations and experiments on the International Space Station, September 6, 2011. / September 6, 2011 /
September 6 at the Russian segment of International Space Station astronauts Space Agency commander Andrei Borisenko, Alexander flight engineers Samokutyaev and Sergei Volkov will conduct inspection and photographing the windows of the Russian segment of ISS, an inventory of equipment in storage areas of block «Dawn» and module «Zvezda», the nominal circuit assembly satellite navigation after the tests, charging the batteries infrared thermometer «Kelvin-Video» to experiment «Bar», as well as continue to conduct maintenance of life support systems (coolant). Russian astronauts scheduled for the program of scientific experiments. Investigation of the physical conditions in space orbiting the Earth: study the dynamics of the radiation environment on the flight path and in ISS compartments, and dose accumulation in the anthropomorphic phantom, placed inside the station («Matryoshka-R»). Biomedical research: study of growth and development of higher plants, as well as the development of the technology of their cultivation in microgravity («Plants-2»); study the influence of space factors on the state of the systems micro-organisms substrates "as applied to the problem of ecological safety of space technology and planetary quarantine (" Biorisk "); control group of the crew during space flight («Interaction»); study of the dynamics of body composition and distribution of human body fluids during prolonged space flight («Octopus 2»). Space biotechnology: study of the correlation between the change in genetic properties, the productivity of recombinant strains in microgravity and the effects on them of heavy charged cosmic ray particles («Biotrack»); determine the effect of exposure to conditions of orbital flight on the growth, genetic and physiological characteristics of the producer strain lactol (lactol "); study of the effects of space flight on bacteriophages («bacteriophage»); to study the effect of microgravity on the solubility of calcium phosphates in the water («Calcium»); to study the characteristics of a cell culture of ginseng and other crops in order to identify opportunities to increase their biological activity («Ginseng-2»). Exploration of the solar system: study of fast and thermal neutrons («BTN-Neutron»). Geophysics and near-Earth space: Monitoring seismic effects bursts of high energy particles in near-Earth space («Splash»); study of atmospheric gamma bursts and optical radiation in terms of thunderstorm activity («Lightning-Gamma»); experimental development of an Earth-space system for monitoring and forecasting of natural and technological disasters («Hurricane»). Remote sensing: study of the characteristics of the underlying surface, ocean and atmosphere («microwave radiometry»). Technical research and experiments: testing of equipment and demonstration of Russian technology round-trip information Space laser line («SLS») Standby mode. The ISS crew is working 28-second long expedition in the Russian Federal Space Agency cosmonaut commander Andrei Borisenko, flight engineers and Samokutyaeva Alexander Sergei Volkov (Roscosmos), Ronald Garan and Michael Fossum (NASA), Satoshi Furukawa (JAXA).
