The height of the ISS orbit will increase. / October 18, 2011 /

October 19 in accordance with the program ballistic support the International Space Station scheduled for routine correction of its orbit.

The maneuver will be conducted using the corrective engine service module «Zvezda».

According to preliminary data of ballistic Service Mission Control Center Engineering Research Institute engines will be included in the 20 hours 06 minutes Moscow time and will work 106 seconds. As a result, the ISS will receive an additional boost of 1.7 meters per second, with an average altitude of its orbit will increase by 2.8 km and 387.8 km reach.
