The height of the ISS orbit will increase. / October 19, 2011 /

On October 19 in accordance with the program ballistic support the International Space Station scheduled for routine correction of its orbit.

According to updated calculations of ballistic Service Mission Control Center Engineering Research Institute maneuver would begin in 20 hours 15 minutes Moscow time, with the inclusion of correcting engine service module «Zvezda». They worked 113 seconds instead of the previously planned 106. As a result, the ISS will receive an additional boost of 1.8 meters per second.

The average height of its orbit will increase by 3.1 km and 387.8 km reach.
