In Korolev RSC «Energy» tests of specialized cargo spacecraft module «Progress M-MIM2» completed. / September 3, 2009 /

Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation «Energy» completed tests in a pressure chamber of specialized cargo spacecraft module «Progress M-MIM2». Аt the present time continuing works on its preparation for delivering to Baikonur.

Run the cargo ship, whose main task is to deliver small MIM2 research module to the International Space Station (ISS), planned for November this year.

Specialized cargo ship and MIM2 created in RSC «Energia».

MIM2 — Russia’s new module designed for use in Rossiyskogo segment of the ISS. The module will increase the number of berths in this segment of the station, as well as provide an opportunity for further development of Russia’s program of space experiments and studies performed on the ISS.
