Shuttle Astronauts «Discovery» at 18:12 pm on September 3, Eastern time (02:12 Moscow, September 4) started the second spacewalk. This was reported on the official site of NASA.

Perform the second spacewalk mandated Danny Olivas and Christer Fuglesang. Initially, the beginning of the operation was scheduled for 17:19 Eastern time (01:19 Moscow, September 4), but one of the astronauts turned out to be defective podborochny belt, and the spacewalk had to be postponed.

During the second EVA on the ISS, astronauts will install a new tank for ammonia, used in the cooling station. Former tank dismantled during the first EVA, the astronauts lock up in the cargo bay «Discovery», in order to later take him to the ground. Total open space, astronauts spend six and a half hours.

The space shuttle «Discovery» was launched to orbit on August 28 at 07:59 Moscow time, and did so only with the fourth attempt.
