ISS orbit was changed to 2.5 km.. / June 8, 2010 /

On the night of June 8 cargo ship Progress M-05M in two phases completed the correction of the ISS orbit. It is reported by the Interfax with reference to the representative of the Mission Control Center.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, upon completion of the two phases of correction, the orbit of the ISS was 353.8 kilometers. At the final stage of «Progress» drove the station at 0,6 meters per second. The first phase of changing the orbit was conducted June 5 through engine module Zvezda.

ISS orbit correction was carried out with the station for docking of the Soyuz TMA-19 ", scheduled for launch on June 16, as well as ship Progress M 05M. He went to the station on June 30.
