Landing on an asteroid probe "Hayabusa" brought to Earth dust.

The researchers found in a container probe "Hayabusa», landing on the asteroid Itokawa, several particles may have extraterrestrial origins. It is reported by AFP.

Experts began to open the container 24 June, which was announced in an official press release, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). At the moment the container is not completely open, but scientists have been able to photograph about a dozen particles visible to the naked eye, as well as two fragments of size more than 10 microns (micrometer — is one millionth of a meter).

While researchers can not confidently say that the particles were brought «Hayabusa» with the asteroid. At the time of launch from Earth container was not completely closed, and after landing due to technical problems the probe was unable to lift located on an asteroid dust, and experts can not say for sure whether there had been «Hayabusa» to gather material.

In addition to difficulties with the fence material in the course of the mission the probe, launched into space in 2003, lost control of the earth and on the phone again just seven weeks later. As a result, the expedition «Hayabusa» on Itokawa had to be extended for three years.
