Baikonur’s Pad Prepared for Proton/Sirius XM-5 Launch. / September 13, 2010 /

Yuzhny Space Center – TSENKI subsidiary- today initiated processing of pad 81 for the upcoming launch of US Sirius XM-5 spacecraft by Proton-M/Breeze-M.
In parallel, foreign experts, with support of Khrunichev Space Center, unload the spacecraft from the container. After that, Sirius XM-5 will be accommodated in the test bench for further prelaunch verifications.
Proton-M undergoes autonomous testing. Breeze-M leak checks are performed. At the filling station, the equipment is prepared for further prop loading into the Breeze’s high pressure tanks.
The launch is to occur on Oct. 14.
