Baikonur’s Ground Facilities Prepared for Glonass Launch. / August 18, 2010 /

Russian space industry continues Glonass launch campaign at Baikonur. The launch slated for Sept. 2, at 4.53 MSK, is to occur from Baikonur’s pad 81. Currently, ground facilities undergo processing, which includes functioning tests and autonomous verification of the launch pad’s systems.
Tests of the Glonass-M’s have been completed. The cluster is in the storage now.
The DM-2 upper stage was loaded with propellant and transported to site 92А-50 for further integration with the Glonass-M cluster. This morning the experts accommodated the DM in the test bench.
