South Korea postponed the launch of its first launch vehicle. / August 19, 2009 /

South Korea postponed the launch of the first domestic carrier rocket Naro-1 in connection with the death of President Kim Dae-jung.

Funeral of the deceased prior to the former head of the South Korean state, as expected, will be held this week in Seoul. Kim Dae Jung was one of the most respected politicians in the Republic of Korea. He won the Nobel Peace Prize for the organization and holding of the first inter-Korean summit in 2000, which met with DPRK leader Kim Jong Il.

Run "Naro-1, apparently, still could be held as early as August.
