Ukraine will launch a cosmonaut to the ISS. / October 19, 2010 /

Ukrainian astronaut will go into the Russian sector of the ISS. Such a declaration was made following talks between the heads of Russian and Ukrainian space agencies, says agency Novy Region.

Ukrainian launch date for the International Space Station are not called. Last Ukrainian astronaut flew into space in 1997. It was born in Chernivtsi region, Leonid Kadenyuk.

In addition to sending prospects to the ISS Ukrainian representatives of space agencies of the two countries also discussed other plans for cooperation in space. In particular, the sides touched upon the issue of creating a single coordinate and time support Ukraine and Russia on the basis of the Russian GLONASS system, conducting science experiments aboard the Russian segment of the station, as well as remote sensing. The talks took place during a visit to Ukraine the head of Russian Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov.
