In Antarctica, the Russian Space Agency experts have established a new station differential correction and monitoring of the Russian GLONASS satellite navigation system. About this correspondent. ITAR-TASS news agency reported today the head of the Russian Antarctic expedition — the deputy director of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute Roshydromet Valery Lukin.

The instrumental set, mounted at the Antarctic station Novolazarevskaya, was praised by the acceptance committee, said Lukin. It was launched and a new receiving-transmitting satellite complex. It allows not only to convey the operational information for the GLONASS system, but also provides access to the Russian polar explorers to the Internet.

According to expedition leader, is currently on Novolazarevskaya colleagues were also able to take two Russian television channels on a normal VHF antenna.
