Crews of Gagarin Vehicle to Commence Training at Baikonur Today

On March 21, Soyuz TMA-21 crews arrived for Baikonur.
The plane with the prime — Alexander Samokutiaev (Roscosmos), Andrey Borisenko (Roscosmos), Ronald Garan (NASA) was the first to land in Krainy airport. Traditionally, their backup landed in the next plane landed a bit later.
The crews were met by Roscosmos and Baikonurs officials, including representative of Roscosmos at the space port Evgeny Anisimov and Mayor of the city Alexander Mezentsev.
At the space port, the crews will continue their preflight training.
The first fit-check in the Soyuz is slated for today.
Soyuz TMA-21 with the crew of ISS 27/28 is slated for launch on April 5. The launch is devoted to the 50th anniversary of Yury Gagarin’s space mission, so the vehicle bears the name of the first cosmonaut — Gagarin.
