The Atlantis space shuttle has docked to the ISS.

Space Shuttle Atlantis docked to the ISS, the NASA website reported. The docking took place at 19:41 Moscow time and was in normal mode. Transfer hatches between the International Space Station and shuttle were opened at 21:28 for Moscow.

«Atlantis» has brought the six astronauts to the ISS: Captain Charles Hobaha, pilot Barry Wilmore, specialists Mike Fourmana, Robert Satchera, Randy Bresnika and Leland Melvin. The mission of the shuttle will last 11 days, at this time scheduled three EVAs.

Shuttle delivered to the station about 10 tons of cargo. «Atlantis» to take on Earth astronaut Nicole Stott. If Atlantis lands on schedule — 27 November — it will hold a space of 91 days. Stott should be the last astronaut who will return to Earth on Atlantis: An shuttle rotates the ISS crew for the last time. In the future, it will engage Russia «Soyuz».

Atlantis was launched from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral (Florida) on November 16 at 22:28 Moscow time. Originally it was planned that the shuttle launched to the ISS on Nov. 12, but then the launch was postponed.
