The space apparatus "Nimik-5" is taken on management of the customer. / September 18, 2009 /

Today, at 8:34 Moscow time the telecommunication space apparatus «Nimik-5» was separated from upper block «Breeze Th» and has been accepted on management of the foreign customer.

Let’s remind that yesterday at 23.19 the Moscow time the carrier rocket «Proton-M» with upper block «Breeze-M» and the Canadian telecommunication space apparatus «Nimik-5» successfully started from the cosmodrome Baikonur.

Carrier rocket start-up is conducted in a regular mode. In conformity with cyclogram deducing the orbital block (the space apparatus with upper block «Breeze-M») was separated from the third step of a carrier rocket and has continued independent flight. The further deducing into a target orbit was executed at the expense of five inclusions of the mid-flight engine upper the block.

Space apparatus start (SA) Nimiq 5 became the seventh start-up of a carrier rocket «Proton» in 2009 and 348th start in its flight history.

The contract on start with use of a rocket «Proton-M» have concluded the Canadian satellite operator Telesat and company International Launch Services Inc. (ILS). The holder of a working control in ILS is the State space research-and-production centre of a name of M.V.Hrunicheva, the developer and the manufacturer of a carrier rocket «Proton» and upper block «Breeze-M».
