Preparations for the launch rocket "Proton-M" goes according to plan. / October 11, 2011 /

At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in the assembly and test complex Khrunichev Khrunichev over the weekend resulted in the assembly of the apparatus of communication "Viasat-1» (ViaSat-1) and the upper stage «Briz-M» in the space head part (HGC) carrier rocket «Proton-M».

October 10 specialists of the plant operating rocket and space technology (ZERKT) and KB «Salute» started to prepare for transportation SHM to the hall where the general assembly will be held with the head of the booster.

Preparatory work includes complex manufacturing operations, among them, «undock» the space head part of the stand, its an overload on rail transport platform and the connection of ground equipment needed to control the thermal regime and other parameters of SHM.

October 11 is scheduled to deliver in SHM Room 111, where the mechanical docking will be carried out with the head of the booster.

Launch space rocket «Proton» with American communications satellite «Viasat-1» is scheduled for October 19.
