Launch Day at Baikonur. / February 5, 2014 /

The active works will begin at Pad 1 launch site of the cosmodrome at 12:30 Moscow Time. The teams will line up and the launch goals will be set.

The decision on the Soyuz-U preparedness, fuelling the rocket tanks with propellant components, and launching will be made by the State Commission. The State Commission meeting is planned for 16:15 Moscow Time.

The launch of Soyuz-U with Progress M-22M is scheduled at 20:23 Moscow Time.

The Progress M-22M cargo ship will deliver more than 2.5 tons of various supplies to the ISS including fuel to maintain the ISS orbit, spare parts for the station, food, water, and oxygen for astronauts, and experiments. The supplies include about 500 kilograms for the ISS US Segment.

Aquarium-AQH is one of the experiments planned to be conducted at the ISS, dealing with biological objects sent to the ISS. The Russian-Japanese Aquarium-AQH experiment is aimed at the exploration of space flight impact on closed ecological system and its elements (plants, animals, fish) sustainability under microgravity conditions. According to the specialists the information received in the result of experiment is of great importance both for fundamental science and for works on space crew life-support systems development on the basis of biological matter cycle.
