Proton-M with Express-AM5 Starts off from Baikonur. / December 28, 2013 /

On 26 December 2013 at 14:49:56 Moscow Time, the Proton-M booster with Breeze-M upper stage tasked with putting the Russian Express-AM5 communication satellite into target orbit was launched from Baikonur’s Launch Pad 81.
At 14:59 Moscow Time, Express-AM5 atop Breeze-M separated cleanly from the third stage of the carrier rocket. The satellite is being placed into the target orbit by the upper stage propulsion system.
