At the launch complex «Union» at the Guiana Space Centre (French Guiana), work is continuing in the first start-up campaign.

After testing by specialists of enterprises and organizations Roscosmos upper stage (RB) «Fregat» moved to the building S3B (room filling) the Guiana Space Centre, which hosts works by charging airborne units compressed gases and prepare for refueling propellant RB.

Universal upper stage «Fregat» (RB «Fregat»), developed in NPO. SA Lavochkin and is designed for use in rockets medium and heavy class in order to launch the spacecraft into the desired orbit.

The launch vehicle «Soyuz-ST» with the spacecraft «Galileo M1» is scheduled for October this year

The three-stage rocket «Soyuz-ST» is a modification of missiles such as the «Soyuz», developed in «TsSKB-Progress» (Samara) in the framework of the «Union of EGC». At present there are four EGC «Soyuz-ST», which brought from Russian to French Guiana in 2009 and 2011.
