Soyuz-FG Carrier Rocket Transported to the Gagarin Launch Pad. / November 6, 2013 /

On 5 November 2013 at 05:00 Moscow Time according to the State Commission decision, the Soyuz-FG booster rocket with the Soyuz TMA-11M manned spaceship was transported from the assembly-and-test building, Site 112 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
The carrier rocket was delivered to the launch complex, Site 1 (Gagarin Launch Pad) and installed in the launch pedestal. The ROSCOSMOS’s specialists started their works according to the first launch day schedule.
The Soyuz-FG with the Soyuz TMA-11M and Expedition 38/39 crew to the International Space Station is scheduled for launch on 7 November.
The main Soyuz TMA-11M crew consists of Commander Mikhail Tyurin (ROSCOSMOS), Flight engineers Richard Mastracchio (NASA) and Koichi Wakata (JAXA).
Backup crew consists of Commander Maksim Surayev (ROSCOSMOS), Flight engineers Gregory R. Wiseman (NASA) and Alexander Gerst (ESA).
