At Baikonur Soyuz TMA-12M Docking System Checking. / January 30, 2014 /

The scheduled launch processing of the Soyuz TMA-12M manned spaceship continues at Baikonur.
Today, in the assembly & test building, Pad 254 the teams of the S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation „ENEERGIA“ and Yuzhny Space Center, TsENKI Division are checking the KURS navigation system that provides the rendezvous and docking of the spaceship with the ISS.
The Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz TMA-12M lift-off is scheduled for 26 March, 2014.
The 39/40 ISS expedition crew will lift off to the ISS on board Soyuz TMA-12M. The crews are preparing for the flight in the Yu.A, Gagarin Research & Test Cosmonaut Training Center. The primary crew consists of Alexander Skvortsov (Commander), Oleg Artemyev (Flight Engineer), and Steven Swanson (Flight Engineer) and backup crew consists of Alexander Samokutyaev (Commander), Elena Serova (Flight Engineer), and Barry Wilmore (Flight Engeneer).
