Spacecraft "Spektr-R": tests continue. / September 9, 2011 /

In the NPO. Lavochkin continue flight tests of space radio telescope (MCT) «Spektr-R», which carried out starting July 18 from Baikonur.

Over the past week has changed the orientation of the spacecraft (SC) in order to optimize thermal systems and provide continuous communication sessions with the ground tracking stations in Pushchino, conducted a comprehensive change of BKU (on-board control) by means of successive turns the spacecraft along different axes in a wide range of angles.

At the same time a number of measures related to the inclusion of MCT in the focal apparatus container, the success of the long session due to the inclusion in the pericentre of the apparatus of the CMT and the refinement of telemetry via VIRK (high-speed radio channel information) and debugging beam antenna.
