Flight testing of the spacecraft, "Spektr-R": all the instruments are functioning nominally. / October 12, 2011 /

Experts NGOs SA Lavochkin continue flight tests of space radio telescope (MCT) «Spektr-R», during which the inspection is conducted of equipment and systems on board the spacecraft.

All the instruments are functioning normally.

As reported by the Lead Operational Control Team (LOCT) spacecraft «Spektr-R», for the past week testing performed in the range of receivers CMT 18 cm and 6 cm, and recording modes and direct data transmission to Earth. Conducted tests on the signal frequency of 15 GHz, with a receiver and a test using the formators (an instrument for communication of command-measuring system with narrow beam antenna). Align the (adjustment) of the antenna high-speed data channel (VIRK), as well as refined diametricheskie parameters of the spacecraft by redirecting to the specified spatial positions, using an engine-flywheel and engine stability.

Work is continuing with the scientific complex «Plasma-F», designed to monitor the solar plasma (the study of solar wind parameters, interplanetary magnetic field and solar cosmic rays). A check operation of the second set of transmitter VIRK, which confirmed its efficiency.
