In 2016, the TsNIIMash’s Mission Control Center (TsUP) provided the control of the ISS Russian Segment under the programs of five main Expeditions: from the 46th to 50th. 18 cosmonauts and astronauts from 5 countries (Russia, USA, Japan, France, and Great Britain) worked at the ISS.

According to the ISS flight program, TsUP provided 32 operations on the launch of four manned transportation spacecraft: Soyuz TMA-20M, Soyuz MS, Soyuz MS-02, and Soyuz MS-03 and four cargo spacecraft: Progress M-29M, Progress MS, Progress MS-02, and Progress MS-03.

Under the ISS scientific programs, the TsUP specialists contributed to 71 space experiments in six research areas. 9 new experiments and 4 experiments according to the joint NASA programs were carried out.

All research results so far obtained were transmitted to the Russian and foreign organizations and also placed in the ROSCOPSMOS’s Main Data Bank.

In 2016, 9 planned ISS orbit correction maneuvers were performed to increase the height of the station flight orbit. The debris avoidance maneuvers were not required.

One walk in open space was made under the Russian flight program.
