Yamal-401 Injected into Target Orbit. / December 15, 2014 /

On 15 December 2014 at 12:17 Moscow Time, the Yamal-401 communication satellite separated from the Breeze-M upper stage in the planned orbit.

The Proton-M rocket was launched by the launching teams of the Russian Rocket and Space Industry on 15 December 2014 at 03:16 Moscow Time from Pad 81 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Yamal-401 was placed into the target orbit by the Breeze-M upper stage.

Yamal-401 is built by the Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems Company against the order of the Russian Operator Gazprom Space Systems.

Proton ILV and Breeze upper stage are designed and manufactured by the Khrunichev Research and Production Space Center. The modernized ILS Proton equipped with Breeze-M is capable of placing the payload of more than 6 ton in mass into a sub-orbital trajectory.

This launch is the seventh ILS Proton mission in 2014 and the 400th ILS Proton launch in its flight history.
