On the Geophysical Environment in Japan

The analysis of the geophysical conditions in Japan shows that it is bottoming out. The threat of powerful earthquake has risen dramatically. One factor of its increase was a strong geomagnetic storm occurred on 1 November that resulted in spreading of one seismomagnetic meridian over Japan.

Other signs that worked abnormally are shown in composite image of Annex 1. They were mostly displayed on 29 October.

The cloudy seismotectonic indicators detected in space image from METEOR-M (MSU-MR), Terra (Modis), Aqua (Modis) etc. on 19 October 2011 (Annexes 2, 3) show the probability of occurring powerful earthquake.

We provided our Japanese colleagues-geophysicists with our apprehensions and some geophysical data. They appreciated it and expressed a desire for cooperation.
