Eruption of a Shiveluch volcano.

On December, 19-20th the volcano of Shiveluch on Kamchatka sharply became more active. It seems that our forecast about strong earthquake on Kamchatka till December, 20th was transformed to volcano eruption. About communication of these phenomena experts know, and the look-ahead aspect is developed poorly. Not casually, found out 18.12.2008 over a volcanic ridge cloudy structures have been accepted for seismoindicators (the Appendix 1). And only after registration 19.12.2008 powerful пеплового emission on height more than 8 km the situation has cleared up (the Appendix 2).

Shiveluch (its height of 3.3 km) became more active in December, 2006 For last 2-3 years an active dome of a volcano has increased in volume in 1.5 times, the steepness of slopes has changed.

It is necessary to note activization on December, 25-26th «a court» volcano Koryak, being in 30 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskij. This volcano «was silent» since 1956

Experts of the Center continue to trace geophysical conditions on Kamchatka. Danger of strong earthquake still remains till January, 13th, 2009
