Earthquake in southern Italy. / August 17, 2010 /

A strong earthquake in the Aeolian Islands, southern Italy occurred on Aug. 16, 2010. Magnitude was 4.5 on the Richter scale. The earthquake injured 7 people, marked a slight destruction of buildings. The earthquake caused the landslide toe.

The event took place in accordance with our prediction of 19/07/2010. On a possible earthquake in southern Italy (Sicily Isl) signaled cloud seismotectonic indicator (OS), found experts NTs OMZ on spaceshots August 6-7 (Annex 1). OS-s allows to locate potential zone R = 220 km centered at Sicily (message from 09.08.2010 on the site NTs OMZ ) and adjust the possible magnitude in the range of 4.8-5.2. Date of the earthquake of 18 or 25.08 ± 2 days was calculated by seismomagnetic meridian established after a strong geomagnetic storm of 4-5 August. Real earthquake occurred on 16 August, M4.5, got into the forecast area.

It is interesting to note that the conjugate of seismomagnetic meridian zone in Kamchatka 15.08.2010, there was also an event with M5.6. A similar situation pairing events marked 30.7-M6.2 — Kamchatka and 8.08-M4.6/4.5-Saloniki on 2 and 3 week harmonics start.

Thus, in accordance with the prediction fulfilled all 4 Statement 220 km. zone, including the Kamchatka area with a magnitude of 6.2. Finished 2 nd stage of the Greek experiment. Main Results: standard geophysical features and standard operating system in the Aegean and paired with her seismic zones.
