An earthquake in Italy. / September 22, 2010 /

Imperceptible earthquake occurred on September 17 in southern Italy. Its magnitude was 4.4, but the intensity reached 3-4 points, it was palpable. Intensity map shown in annex1.

The event can be attributed to the irrelevant. But on September 19-20 in the coastal zone Peninsula Gargano experts at the Center «Forecast» and NTs OMZ found cloud seismotectonic indicator (Annex 2). They may indicate a recurrence of a more powerful seismic events in the city of Foggia. The dynamics and nature of the manifestations of OS were quite interesting. Tip of a powerful air vortex formed over Scandinavia, in the area like the Adriatic meets the barrier and blocked for several hours (images 1, 2). On the following day 20.09.2010 in the same area again, there are OS-s (images 3-6), trace the faults of the region.

Recall that in our forecast of 09/10/2010 Italy declared as one of the potential areas of possible strong earthquake. Our colleagues from the Centre «forecast» Tula State University has successfully forecast for Italy in 2000, then a month before the event Professor Martynov O. V. predicted earthquake with M4.9 21.08.2000 in the town of Asti. There are fears that history may repeat itself. But, alas, the attitude and response of official geophysical Italian officials have not changed. It should be noted, after the earthquake the mayor Asti Luigi Florio invited Professor Martynov O. V. visit Italy. Professor gives interview RA1, which is available at nadisa.org. One of our colleagues on the joint expert group is now in Italy. But we would very much like history repeating itself in 2000
