Regional Monitoring. / August 23, 2010 /Integrated space-based monitoring of Russian regions, based on the use of geographic information technologies and information, remote sensing (RS), carried out in order to obtain objective information, especially on the environmental situation in the region by assessing the activity of the enterprises of the agricultural, transport, industrial, mining and other industries . The task of monitoring from space is also providing regional administrations geospatial data, intended to control the use of natural resources and land in the territory under their jurisdiction.Space data due to the speed, detail and accuracy of the data can be used to address a wide range of problems of management of regional economies. The advantage of such information is integrated areal nature of the data and the ability to capture the necessary operational area in real time. Substantial aid regional administrations in implementing regional programs for the use of space technology can provide Research Center for Earth Operative Monitoring of OAO Russian space systems, with extensive experience in organizing activities in areas related to the practical application of remote sensing technologies for natural resources, monitoring of the natural environment, solving problems of cartography, etc. Based on the agreement on cooperation between the JSC «Russian space systems and regional administrations may receive on a regular basis, timely information to operational spacecraft Russian orbital constellation.
