The height of the ISS orbit raised on one kilometer.

The average height of the orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) raised on one kilometer, reported in Thursday, February 10, Interfax reports with reference to the Mission Control Center.

This was done in order to ensure optimal conditions for return to Earth of Soyuz TMA-M rocket with three astronauts.

Now the average height of the orbit of the station is 352 kilometers. To perform the maneuver were involved eight engines docking and orientation of the cargo ship Progress M-07M, which was docked to the service module Zvezda Service Module.

Now on the International Space Station crew is the 26th long-duration expedition in the Russian Alexander Kaleri, Oleg Skripochka and Dmitry Kondratyev, Americans Scott Kelly and Catherine Coleman and Italian Paolo Nespoli.
