The second attempt of launching of "Ares-IX" was successful

New rocket NASA «Ares-IX» at the second attempt was launched from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral. Start in a live broadcast was shown on the channel NASA TV. Launch took place at 18:30 Moscow time — a few hours later than planned. The reason for the delays are bad weather conditions.

During the flight duration of about two minutes, the rocket went up to the boundary of outer space and came down to earth model of the new spacecraft Orion. Office of the ship occurred at an altitude of about 42 kilometers. Launchers «Ares» and ships «Orion» developed by NASA in the program "Constellation» (Constellation). As a result, the U.S. should see a new space transport, capable of carrying astronauts to Earth orbit and the moon.
