Four Years of Elektro-L in Orbit. / January 21, 2015 /

20 January, 2015 marked the fourth anniversary of the Russian Elektro-L weather satellite launch to geostationary orbit. The satellite continues to operate successfully now.

Specialists from the space community are taking an active interest in images acquired every 30 minutes (at present, within the time interval 09:00— 16:00 Moscow Time).

The data from the MSU-GS instrument is made available on the NTs OMZ’ website 15 minutes after each acquisition from MSU-GS, including those acquired on 21 January 2015.
