NTs OMZ of JSC Russian Space Systems Took Part in the 10th Annual International Exhibition GEOFORM+ 2013. / October 23, 2013 /

On October 15-17, 2013 the NTs OMZ of JSC Russian Space Systems took part in the 10th International Exhibition of Geodesy, Cartography and Geoinformation which was held in All-Russian Center (VVC). More than 50 companies participated in the Exhibition among them are Csoft, Geostroyizyskaniya, Innoter, Intergraph, Scanex, MIIGAiK, Prime Group, Rakurs, Roscartography, North Geographical Company, Sovzond, STT Group, and others. At the Exhibition there were presented such cartographic and geodesic work areas as geodesic equipment; instrumental survey; ground, air and mobile laser scanning; unmanned aerial vehicles; topographic plan and map construction and updating; monitoring of different types; photogrammetry; space survey, aerial survey, software for geodesic and cartographic work and survey, geoportal solutions, and many others.

The JSC Russian Space Systems’ NTs OMZ’s stand illustrated the NTs OMZ’s capabilities as an Operator of the Russian remote sensing systems and the capabilities of the Russian remote sensing satellite constellation as well. The stand presented the NTs OMZ’s technologies used for remote sensing data processing and various cartographic and geoinformation derived product generation. When interacting with attendees, there was a live demonstration of the ROSCOSMOS’s Geoportal using touch panel. The film advertisements about the Russian remote sensing satellite constellation and the ROSCOSMOS’s Geoportal capabilities were shown. The presentation materials describing in detail the capabilities of the equipment installed on board a new Russian RESURS-P spacecraft were also exhibited.

The growing interest in the Exhibition themes should be noted. For example, in 2012 the Exhibition was attended by approximately 1700 people while the first day of the Exhibition in 2013 showed the increase in attendee number by 51% in comparison with that of 2012. Great interest was expressed by the attendees in the NTs OMZ’s stand. The capabilities of such new spacecraft as KANOPUS-V and RESURS-P as well as the procedure of these spacecraft data distribution to customers were of particular interest.
