Resurs-P No.2 First Images Taken. / January 6, 2015 /

Since 4 January 2015, the tests of the Resurs-P No.2 special-purpose equipment started. Resurs-P No.2 was injected successfully into the designated orbit as part of the same in-orbit constellation with Resurs-P No.1.

On 5 January 2015, the first test images were taken both from the Geoton-Sangur very high resolution equipment in panchromatic and multispectral modes and from the wide-swath high-resolution equipment. Segments of some images are available on the Website of ROSCOSMOS and Spacecraft Operator – Research Center for Earth Operative Monitoring of JSC „Russian Space Systems“.

The spacecraft payloads are being adjusted, testes and calibrated now.
