The shuttle "Diskaveri" has made a successful landing. / September 14, 2009 /

On Friday at 20:53 on time of east coast (4:53 Saturdays Moscow time) the shuttle «Diskaveri» has made landing to air base of the Air Forces of the USA «Edwards» in the State of California, is informed on site NASA.

Onboard the ship to the Earth seven astronauts who have spent in space of 14 days have returned. The crew «Diskaveri» during mission to the International space station has made three extravehicular activity.

To plant a shuttle on cape Canaveral in the State of Florida it was not possible because of weather conditions. Now NASA it will be compelled to transport it in the space centre of a name Kennedy that is connected with additional expenses.

Let’s remind, the American space agency plans to finish the program of shuttles by 2010. The released resources will be directed on the accelerated working out and tests of a spaceship «Orion» which should come in the stead of shuttles.
