Elektro-L Launch Preparation in Progress. / November 9, 2015 /

At Baikonur, the launching teams of the Russian Rocket & Space Industry completed the fuelling of the Elektro-L No.2 spacecraft. Upon fuelling the tanks the spacecraft was delivered to Assembly & Test Building to be stored before assembling the upper composite of the Zenit-2SB launch vehicle. At the same time, the Fregat-SB upper stage is being assembled.

Elektro-L No.2 is a meteorological remote sensing spacecraft designed for multispectral imaging of the Earth’s entire disk in visible and IR regions.

Zenit-2SB with Elektro-L is scheduled for launch for 11 December 2015.
